The power of the ocean has been a fascination over the centuries, its combination of pure calm, utter turbulence and its relentless movement has mesmerised artists and captured their imaginations. To transfer the movement of water on to canvas is the aim and capture the people who take advantage of its energy.

"I have been lucky enough to paint in a studio by the ocean, the best time is early mornings to feel the fresh sea breeze, see the sun starting its journey across the sky and see the surfers taking advantage of the mornings swell. Inspired for the rest of the day I head back to the studio to begin work."
